I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ) f1 n! j3 o: J k' l2 h4 M/ m1 K! P h- }7 R- ^( {4 r7 v, l% F7 `
